PhilPop 2014: Revealed Top 12 Finalists

PhilPop MusicFest Foundation revealed the 12 finalists for the PhilPop 2014 on Thursday, May 29, 2014.

According to Maestro Ryan Cayabyab the foundations executive director, said "this year's finalists constitute a heady brew of the most varied genres: dance, rock, R&B, a couple of ballads, some pop and a genre-defying song in multi-meter".

"I'm very excited because this batch of songs are again as exciting as different, very, very different. Iba't ibang tunog na naman ang lumabas," He added when sharing his excitement to the new established singers and new artists interpret the songs.

Below are the list of the Top 12 songs in this year's PhilPop:

1. "Awit Mo'y Nandito Pa"

2. "Babalikan Mo Rin Ako"
Songwriter: Soc Villanueva
Interpreter: Nikki Gil

3. "Dear Heart"

The Grandwinner of the year's competition will be awarded with P1 Million Grand Prize.

PhilPop 2014 finals will be held at Meralco Theater on July 26.
