Senator Jinggoy Estrada who surrendered on Monday to the Philippine National Police - Public Information Office (PIO) was booked for plunder and graft at Camp Crame.
Senator Jinggoy Estrada and Sen. Ramon "Bong" Revilla Jr. became cellmates after the Sandiganbayan ordered them detained at the Philippine National Police Custodial Center.
"I never stole a single centavo from government coffers," Estrada told to the reporters, as he accused President Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino of playing politics and cracking down on his opponents.
"At the end of the day, I will prove my innocence. I will face all charges against me in court," Senator Jinggoy Estrada said.
Among the 54 people marked for the alleged scam in which the lawmakers, staffs and other officials who were accused of looting millions of pesos for the development projects.
Estrada is the second high-profile official detainee arrested over involvement in the multi-billion peso pork barrel scam.
WEDDING VOWS BEFORE ARREST:
"Our children surprised us with a very simple wedding ceremony in the house of my dad yesterday in anticipation of our silver wedding anniversary this Saturday," Estrada said.
